Silver Amethyst Spiral Hoop Earrings Inspired by Ancient Artifact

In my research on ancient Roman jewelry, I came across an image from an auction house of these unique earrings with spirals on the hoop, with long dangles and a blue glass bead on the end. They were attributed to the 2nd century AD and called Roman, but I've never seen another set like them. What they are for sure is captivating, and we immediately set out to create our own versions of these gorgeous earrings.
All parts of these earrings are handmade. The silver-plated earwires are thicker than most modern earrings, for durability and comfort. The diameter of the hoop is about 3/4" and the hand-cut amethysts are approx. 3/4" long by 1/4" wide. Overall length is about 1 3/4".
