Queer Stitch Kits: Philadelphia Style Rainbow Pride Heart Pattern

This Golden Schelle original cross stitch pattern depicts the rainbow pride flag in a heart shape. In 2017, this version with black and brown stripes added was created in Philadelphia to call attention to intersectional issues of racism in the queer community. Identities are not either/or; black and brown queers have always been at the forefront of queer liberation movements; trans BIPOC remain the most vulnerable members of our population. We choose to include the black and brown stripes in affirmation of these facts.

This design uses nine colors of embroidery thread or floss and takes up 34x35 stitches  (732 total stitches). On 11-count Aida, that's just under 3 1/4" tall and wide; two and a half inches on 14 count; and juuuuust under 2" on 18 count cloth. The PDF includes two images of the chart and a listing of floss colors used with stitch counts for each color. We recommend a minimum of one standard DMC skein per 500 stitches when stitching with 2 strands, with one per 300 stitches allowing for testing, error, or embellishment.

This item is for the digital download PDF pattern only. Please see our other items for kits that include a printout, floss, and Aida cloth!
