It's been a while since we interpreted the medieval and Renaissance jewelry that got us started! Here's a group of pieces whose components are chosen to evoke a set of times and places that shared a certain aesthetic.
This piece pairs plump ovoid freshwater ivory pearl beads with (dyed) bright chrysoprase green aventurine spheres, closes with a decorated brass S-hook clasp, and measures just under 20". This brings you the look of gorgeous chrysoprase at a small fraction of the cost. Due to its simple design and pearls' perennial favor, it's appropriate for a long range of time periods for historical interpretation: the Roman empire, Byzantium, medieval and Renaissance Europe, Victorian times. It's extremely versatile and can also be worn with a range of modern attire.
The Golden Schelle is on hiatus in order to focus on finishing up our last few commissions and then completely revamp our inventory and website. We are closed to new orders at this time.
