This silk habotai scarf has been dyed with foraged dyer's polypore mushroom and lightly overdyed with used madder root. The color is brightest in the sun or full spectrum lighting and more subdued in the shade or under fluorescent lights. Photos are taken in a variety of lighting situations to illustrate the range of colors. Subtle leaf shapes have been stitch-resisted, scattered along the length, and tied resists have left many subtle variations in color along with darker speckles. It measures 14x58" and drapes beautifully with a gorgeous sheen. It can be worn around the neck or as a head wrap. Care for it by washing by hand with gentle detergent. Do not tumble dry-hang, lay flat, or iron while still damp on the silk setting (about 300* F).
