This silk thread, sold in 25 yard hanks, is primarily used for embroideries but can be used to weave tiny tapestries, braid into cord, etc. If embroidering, you can take apart the 4 plies for very fine line work or filling very small areas- each ply is much finer than a single ply of DMC cotton floss.

This batch of yarn is a medium brown color, created with foraged walnut hulls and alum mordanting. It's a great choice for representing skin or hair in your pieces of textile art.
