This thread is a warm madder root pink. It is available in 100 and 50 yard hanks.

This 4-strand spun silk thread's primary use is for embroidery (each strand notably finer than one ply of DMC standard cotton floss.) It can also be used for weaving narrow goods or tapestry at approx. 30 ends per inch, for braiding techniques such as fingerloop or lucet, crocheting small accessories or lace, and other historical and modern fiber arts.

Madder root (Rubia tinctorum) has been used for millennia as a dyestuff. Of the natural reds, it usually has the best lightfastness and washfastness.
