It's been a while since we interpreted the medieval and Renaissance jewelry that got us started! Well, this is more of a re-interpretation... very close to Renaissance Revival jewelry from the Victorian era. It's appropriate for Faire or casual SCA, but up close the details aren't quite what you'd actually see in jewelry of the period. It's heavy, luxe, and has good drape.
This piece showcases fat, 10-13mm ivory pearl beads, closes with a decorated S-hook clasp, and measures just under 16". Due to its simple design and pearls' perennial favor, it's appropriate for a large number of time periods for loosely historical recreation activities like Renaissance Faires and medieval fantasy based LARPs; if you squint, it's the Roman empire, Byzantium, Renaissance Europe, the 1950s, etc. It's extremely versatile and can also be worn with a wide range of modern attire.
