These earrings feature a handmade, 18 gauge, gold plated earring hoop patterned after a style seen in Roman earrings plus a dangle with a hand cut rectangular carnelian (red agate) bead, strongly resembling historical styles. Unlike modern earring designs, these are inserted through the back of the ear rather than the front. They are just under 1 1/4" from top of hoop to bottom of dangle.
