Each bead or pearl is captured on its own link of very fine handmade wire chain, making the beads seem to float around your neck. This style was common during the Roman/Byzantine Empire. Ivory freshwater pearls alternate with square brass beads with little quatrefoils or crosses. It's 17" long with a user-friendly gold plated magnetic clasp.
